For your convenience we have a dispensary at Wye Surgery. If you’re a patient meeting any one of the following criteria you can get your prescription drugs and medical supplies dispensed from here, if your wish:

• Living more than 1 mile from any chemist (as the crow flies)
• Registered as a temporary resident
• Private patients
• In an emergency out of hours
• Patients with difficulties who have applied to Ashford Primary Care Trust to use our dispensary.

We offer a free prescription delivery service for patients who cannot come into the surgery. Please ask our dispensary staff or your GP.

For patients who have complicated regular medication reigimes we offer to deliver sorted dosage packs that contain all the medication required for a full 28-day cycle.

Speak to your GP to assess your individual requirements.

We offer a range of fee-based non-NHS services which you can see in our Private Services Fee List below, a copy of which is also available at reception.
          
Our private services include:

• Private sick notes
• Medical examinations for special purposes, eg elderly drivers, new jobs, fitness for sport, immediate treatment after a road traffic accident and fitness to travel
• Some travel vaccinations
• Completing medical questionnaires for insurance policy claims.

Private Services Fee List

Minor injuries are dealt with by our practise nurses and if necessary a GP.

If you sustain a minor injury such as bruising, small burns or cuts, sprains, foreign bodies in the eye etc and would like assistance please phone Reception or come into the surgery.

We have our own minor operations theatre here at Wye Surgery where all our doctors can perform surgical procedures using local anaesthetic.

Typically, this would include things such as removing moles, fatty lumps and cysts.
    
Dr. Miles and Dr. Fox both have a special interest in minor surgery, and offer evening appointments to both registered and non-registered patients, under the ‘Minor Surgery in East Kent Scheme’.

The purpose of physiotherapy is to help patients improve their mobility and body strength, particularly after an operation, accident or illness. As well as physical therapy at Wye Surgery you may be given gentle exercises to do at home.
